Chilblains

Chilblain are either very common or very rare, depending on which part of the world you are in. They are an inflammatory reaction resulting in a painful and often pruritic lesion on the skin in response to a too rapid warming of a cold foot in those who are prone to chilblains. There does not seem to be many definitive treatments for chilblains. Many websites in the PodVertise network have information on chilblains. Podiatry Arena has some of the latest research on chilblains and discussions on chilblains. ePodiatry has a good self help guide on chilblains. Questions can be asked at the Foot Health Forum on chilblains and Podiatry Online has a listing of chilblains resources. Podiatry TV even has a video on chilblains.
